"Muddy" had the good fortune of growing up in Northeast Georgia, where her playful and imaginative ideas were nurtured by love and laughter, and grew just as quickly as kudzu.  She fell in love with clay while attending North Georgia College and studying under the late Bob Owens. Maraiah has been a potter and ceramic sculptor for over a decade, holds an MFA in Ceramics, and has taught art workshops and pottery classes in Georgia and Colorado.   Muddy can be seen demonstrating pottery making every other weekend at Mark of the Potter.
