About Our Artists

Mark of the Potter has four house potters:
Matt Henderson, Ester Lipscomb, Mary Towers Weese and Kyle Jones.

Even though our potters share the same glaze palette, each artist has their own unique style and mark.

To help our customers know what is home-baked, we mark our pots with a little yellow dot.

For variety and to support our local clay community, we buy from
another 25-30 artists from around the southeastern U.S. region and some from out of the region.

All of the pottery at Mark of the Potter is handcrafted in the U.S.A.

All of our pottery is food safe using only lead-free glazes and clays.  Microwave safe and most are oven safe too.  They can be washed in the dishwasher or as some customers prefer, hand washed.
