Maraiah "Muddy" Wenn

Nicknamed "the MudWoman" at a young age, Maraiah never realized how long she would end
up stuck with it.  Luckily her career and her nickname suit each other well!  Maraiah grew up
in the northeast Georgia mountains, but did not start learning about pottery until college where
she studied under the late Bob Owens of Cleveland, Georgia.  She has been working as a
potter and sculptor for over 12 years, holds an MFA in Ceramics, and has been a full-time
potter at Mark of the Potter for seven years now.

Muddy works onsite (sharing space with Matt) and is second-in-command of the studio.
She can be seen demonstrating pottery making every other weekend
(she alternates with Matt), and if you are lucky (and a cute little
kid) she just might do something absolutely silly!

Muddy lives right down the road with her cute husband and a pride of rescue kitties:
Laramie, Goose & Arlo (one of Mama Snoogans' giant kittens).
When she's not making pots, Muddy's an avid reader and knitter, a horribly infectious
giggler, and an aspiring gardener.
